2023 Manitoba Closed Championship – One Section – CFC and FIDE Standard Rated Event
$ 40 entry fee – First Prize $ 250 , 2nd Prize $ 125, 3rd Prize $ 75
Time Control: Game 90 minutes + 30 second increment
Eligibility: Players must have a CFC Regular (Lifetime) High Rating of at least 1900
Eligibility: *Players must be Manitoba Permanent residents.
Eligibility: Players must have an unexpired CFC membership
Players MUST pre-register, Registration cut-off – August 17 11:50 p.m.

*(Persons who are not citizens or permanent residents, but who have been a resident of Manitoba for a twelve-month period immediately preceding the tournament, may be admitted to the Tournament provided they can clearly demonstrate to the MCA Board of Directors that they have a settled intention to continue to reside in Manitoba. The admittance to the Tournament of such exceptions shall be entirely at the discretion of the MCA Board of Directors.)

Round 4 – Sunday, August 27 10 a.m.
Round 5 – Sunday, August 27 2:30 p.m.
(Players may take a total of one 1 half-point in any of the first three rounds and any number of zero-point byes.)
.Please note that we intend to start the first round at 7:00 p.m. sharp. FIDE Zero tolerance rule not in effect (After the first round, you will not forfeited if you are late, but will lose after 1 hour of being late).
