2015 Winnipeg Open (Joe Dreman Memorial) Final Round results

By | July 29, 2015

Jamie Campbell upset Isaac Wiebe on Board 1 to grab a piece of second place (along with Marcos Valentino), and cap a tournament which should result in a large rating gain. Jamie was also eligible for the top U2000 prize. As mentioned last week, Isaac had already clinched first after round 8.

Third place was shared by  James Atem (also 2nd U2000) and Jeff Babb. Fourth place was a three-way tie amongst Waldemar Schulz, Theo Wolchock, and Myron Kernetsky.

Phil Le Dorze was top U1800, Ken Einarsson was 2nd U1800. Newcomer Chathura Illangakoon was top U1600/unrated, with fellow newcomer John Minano 2nd U1600/unrated.  Third U1600/unrated was shared amongst Mark Jenkins, Bruce Leaden, John Remillard, and Peter Magyar.
