A five-way tie was the result of 2026 Manitoba Open Rapid Championship, held Saturday, January 10 at the University of Manitoba. Yakiv Gres, Marlon Jodar, Joshua Gerona, Fernando Orcullo,and Svitlana Protsyuk scored 5-1 in the 44-player field, sharing the 3 place prizes.
Rhailey Punay, Pablo Lake, Blair Rutter, Kayden Joynt, and Gabriel Hamm, scored 4 points, splitting the U2000, and U1900 prizes.
Abdo-Jose Tomajian and Jesse Penner scored 3 points to share the U1600 Prizes.
