Gustav Baron defeated defending champion Ryne Swift in the final match of the 2026 Manitoba Blitz Championship, avenging his loss to Swift in the 2025 final.
Eight players qualified for the knock-out matches after 25 players contested a 12-round Swiss system tournament.
In the quarter-finals, Marlon Jodar won the Armageddon game against Mark Klusa, Swift beat Joshua Gerona, Arjie Bayangat beat Theo Wolchock, and Baron defeated Yakiv Gres.
The semi-finals saw Swift winning the Armageddon against Jodar, while Baron blanked Bayangat. Baron then won the final match to claim the Championship.
